My guess is that the person who said it was indeed able to close the error popup because it was just a warning of the impending update, and that they hadn't actually updated yet. When I said I had updated and could no longer play Sims 3, I was told that I had done something wrong and that all I had to do was close the error window or something of that sort. I don't feel much like doing that, so you'll just have to take my word for it I guess. That would require scouring all the threads about 64/32 bit and Sims 3 that I've commented in to try to find the one with that conversation. I haven't been able to play since I updated to Catalina, since Mac dropped 32 bit support and my specs are similar to yours. The Intel Core i5 part says you have 64 bit. And if you have the model that has a 128 GB drive, then depending on what else you are using the Air for, you may not have enough space to manage the install and the game. If it is running 10.14 (Mojave) or prior, then yes.īut either way MacBook Airs in particular are not designed for gaming and all EPs or playing on even medium graphics settings may be too much for it as it would have to run in turbo mode most of the time to keep the processor going fast enough to keep up with the game. A patch to address this has been announced by EA and will be forthcoming sometime in 2020. There is no way to run a 32-bit program on that system and TS3 remains 32-bit only. ![]() Which operating system is it running? If it's macOS 10.15 (Catalina), then no. There are a number of challenges in getting TS3 for Mac to install and run properly these days.
